The Hyde Park Wine Society convenes on the third Tuesday of each month to provide an interactive dining experience built around a monthly theme. This month at The Promontory we're celebrating Southern cuisine with a four-course meal from our executive chef and wine pairings by 57th Street Wines Sommelier Derrick Westbrook.
THIS MONTH'S THEME: Orange, Red, and Yellow Wines
We're reveling in the change of season with some unusual and beautifully colored wines. Pairings with Chef Bernard Bennet's one-off seasonal menu, created especially for this occasion, are among the most exciting we've presented. The specific wines will be a surprise on the evening of, but expect an adventure. Meanwhile, take a look at this gorgeous autumn colors menu with end-of-season summer treats in store:
1st Course: Shrimp and okra beignets with a pimento cheese spread
2nd Course: Caramelized butternut squash soup with okra chips, fig and country ham
3rd Course: Confit fried chicken with Hoppin’ John and maple carrots
4th Course: Biscuit strawberry shortcake
